I hope that everyone had a great Easter! Chad and I had a very busy weekend full of Easter stuff, but we wouldn't have it any other way! Here Good Friday is a holiday (as it should be) so we had our family gathering with Chad's parents. I made a Rocky Road cheesecake which went over really well (of course!) Chad's mom made turkey (my favorite) and each of Chad's siblings brought a dish over as well. It was a great meal which was even better as I skipped lunch! The gathering was a lot of fun but washing the dishes took WAY too long! Here are some photos from the day:
Ariel and her cousin Lauren. Don't you just love Ariel's dress and her hat? She loves this hat! No problem getting her to wear it! In fact the day that I bought it when I took it off to pay she got very very upset!:

Ariel and all her cousins. As you can it's very hard to get a good picture with all the kids happy or even looking in the same direction!

Everyone piled on Justin (with Grandma and Granpa)

The boys, Justin and Logan:

All the kids love the old toys, Ariel loves this horse!

We had an Easter Egg hunt with chocalte eggs and Ariel was very much into it! It took a few tries to teach her not to put them in her mouth but the basket!

More eggs! After the easy ones to find were all gone Ariel would walk up to her cousins and just take theres out of the basket! Sneaky! But they didn't mind they would just 'hide' them easily for Ariel to get.

Here she is with her basket:

All in all friday was a great family gathering. Saturday I went out and hung out with my friend Elaine and we made a few cards togather. I love that she and I have the same hobby! We both have different stuff so it's really great to hang out togather and use each other's stuff! I have been trying to leave Ariel and Chad alone togather as I used to more often. On thursday I left them alone when going grocery shopping and when I went to his parents in the evening. And on saturday when I was with Elaine I left them alone. Saturday night we stayed in but Chad went to go and get a few groceries and gas Ariel got quite upset and cried! She never cries when I leave or ever for Chad so it was sweet to see how she has gotten more attached to Chad. Don't get me wrong she has always loved her daddy but she very much prefered me. Now she likes to go between me and Chad when she cries for comfort and not always wanting me to hold her.
Saturday night I also got very inspired and made 5 cards, tonight I hope to make more as I have a bunch of new great ideas!
Sunday we went to church of course. I sang in the chior which is always so awesome. The praise and worship at my church is seriously one of the best. It's lively and loud with lights! And the music is so awesome and very proffesional. We sing a lot of songs from the Hillsongs albums. On sunday at the end of the service we did a specail numnber of the song Rain Down on Me which is in the movie Fighting Temptations. It went so well and was so awesome!
After church we went to my parents for Easter Dinner. My parents ivited my cousin and his wife and there 3 kids, and a friend of theres with her 2 kids. My brother brought his new girlfriend. It was her first time to my parents and she did not disapoint! Oskana brought my parents a gift of a box of chocaltes, a bottle of wine, pastries her mother and her made, and a Easter Pooh dressed up as a Bunny (which Ariel loves) And she asked my mom how she can help and helped my mother according to my mother better than I do! My mom likes her as now she has a better helpmate! Oskana seemed very nice, she has only dated one other guy and is a strong Ukrainian Catholic and is very involved in her church. The funny thing is that were both blonde and although we don't look alike we both have very large racks! I am tall and thin with small hips and a large bust, she is shorter but the same maybe bigger hips. Although we don't have simular faces we probably look like sisters! My mom's meal did not disapoint but she of course went over board making: ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, homemade pergoies, veggies, salads, dressing (stuffing), melenci (Croation dish so good), fried mushrooms, homemade chicken soup and another Croation meat dish that I can't remember. My mom did all this herself! Nevermind the torte, and all the pastries she made. Everytime she complains about how she won't do it again it's to exhausting and so forth. I told her about how at Chad's family we all bring stuff and how she should do that. Or even that she not make so much! She doens't need to! But it's hard to get through to her. My aunt and uncle came later as did my second cousin Joey.
Ariel got a lot of gifts. The dress that Ariel wore in the pictures is from Chad's mom. She buys all the Easter outfits. This year I didn't mind as she brought me 4 dresses to choose from. She also got Ariel some chocaltes. My mom bought Ariel her Spring jacket and splash pants. And my cousin got Ariel some chocolates. My brother bought Ariel the See and Say toy, you know the one that you pull and it goes "the cow goes moo" All in all Ariel was very blessed!
Sunday night when I arrived home my Easter was almost ruined. What? Huh? You ask? I had a message on our machine from M, M and A are good friends of ours expecting a baby any day. The message said "Hey anita it's M here. We wanted to talk to you about baby names. We both really like _______ and wanted to know if it was okay if we used it. Call us back and let us know" Well the name they said is the boy name that Chad and I want to use. Right after having Ariel when my hormones were high I STUPIDLY shared with her my boy name as she shared her girl name with me (we had babies 2 1/2 weeks apart, she had a boy) She is the only person that I EVER have shared the name with besides Chad's mom, I did regret it but I trusted her! Chad and I discussed what we would say and how to handle it, Chad was as upset as I which isn't always the case as he thinks that I over react, we decided that I would act like it was a joke as M is quite a joker. Chad thought that maybe they both liked the name but A was like well no but M was well let's ask. It was 10:30 when we got home so I thought that it was too late to call back but than Chad noticed that they only called us at 10:14 so I called them back, they didn't answer there house or cell phones. We thought that they were in labour. I was scared! Thankfully M called back at 11 and I answered and said " Is this some kind of Easter joke? Your joking right" He said that it was and would it bother us? In the message he assumed it would be me who would be all upset and I knew that they would take Chad more seriously so I said "not just me but Chad is really disapointed" I could hear A in the background so he gave her the phone and she told me basically what Chad had guessed that she wasn't all for it but M wanted to ask. We talked for a bit and she shared with me her favorite name that M said was too girly, Riley which I really like as there son is Reid. What a scare! Chad and I picked out our boy name when we first got married, it's a name that I have always wanted and Chad loves it too. It's a cool name but no one we know has used it. I have learnt that under no circumstances tell anyone your names that you like or are planning to use! I don't think that M and A will use it but I am a bit fearful!
What a weekend!
Oh and here is a picture from wednesday when Ariel got into the zincofax. The only picture that I was able to take before she took off and i got scared she would spread it! You can't evne see how bad it was!
